The Right Bank of the Po

The 125 km itinerary reserved for cycle tourists along the right bank of the Po River is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the Ferrara region, offering an unforgettable experience.
The journey starts in Stellata di Bondeno, on the western edge of the province of Ferrara, and continues all the way to Gorino Ferrarese, reaching the mouth of the Po River. This 125-kilometer cycling route offers a stunning ride through unique natural environments—forests, brackish wetlands, freshwater valleys, dunes, and beaches. Along the way, cyclists pass through ancient villages and prestigious cities of art, including the magnificent Ferrara.
Every place, every inhabited center tells its own story as you pass through, offering experiences that enrich the journey and add to your personal memories.
The cycling path set up by the Province of Ferrara was inaugurated on September 9, 2001. It was created through a collaboration between the Magistrato per il Po—the owner of the embankment—and the seven municipalities involved: Bondeno, Ferrara, Ro, Copparo, Berra, Mesola, and Goro.
The route became part of the EUROVELO project, serving as the central section of the cycling path that stretches from Athens, Greece, to Cádiz, Spain.
