Estense Foundation
The Estense Foundation plays an important role in promoting culture and social initiatives in Ferrara. Between 1868 and 1870, it contributed to the decoration of the “Cella degli Uomini Illustri” in Certosa and the erection of the monument to Girolamo Savonarola. In 1888, it participated in the reconstruction of dilapidated or unhealthy houses. In 2023, it supported volunteer and assistance projects through the “Solidarity Fund” of the Association of Banking Foundations of Emilia-Romagna. Palazzo Sacrati Muzzarelli Crema, dating back to the 1400s, has become a cultural and gastronomic space managed by the Foundation.
